Oracle RAC node failover

We got 2 node RAC(node-06 and node-07), and version is 10.2.0.4( both CRS and database). After we configured a client using jdbc thin driver:

jdbc:oracle:thin:@node-06-vip.com:1521/SRV_OM

If 2 nodes are up running, and we can connect to database without any issues. Now if we shut down node-06, I can't connect to database any more, even the vip 'node-06-vip.com' has already been failover to node-07, and listner, service SRV_OM are all running on node-07.

I just want to know, now the vip 'node-06-vip.com'  is sitting on node-07, why I can't connect to database using: jdbc:oracle:thin:

Howdy, Stranger!
