How to increase the BACKUP REDOLOG reusable control file section?

Hi,

a cust receives error
kccrsz: denied expansion of controlfile section 15 by 18484 record(s)
the number of records is already at maximum value (65535)
in his 9.2.07 alertlog and sent me the attached log1.html about
BACKUP REDOLOG
and the question is if we can increase RECORDS_TOTAL above 65535 e.g. by recreating the controlfile.

RECORDS_TOTAL NUMBER Number of records allocated for the section
RECORDS_USED NUMBER Number of records used in the section

log1.html shows:
TYPE RECORD_SIZE RECORDS_TOTAL RECORDS_USED FIRST_INDEX LAST_INDEX LAST_RECID
