Steps for refreshing physical standby

Hi,

We have a physical stand by for one of our primary databases. Now we want to refresh the standby database to make it sync with the primary database. For some reason we want to proceed with only user manual hot backup (i.e. keeping a tablespace in begin backup mode , transfering the datafile of the tablespace to the standby ) only. Our database version is 10.2.0.4. The databases are running on linux. The standby is with real time apply option. Hence, please suggest the necessary steps to do this.

Please respond as soon as possible as I have to start and finish the work today.
