Can we ignore running changePerm.sh on Oracle 10g RAC after patch to 10.2.0.5.0?

Hi,

I am planning/preparing to apply patchset 10.2.0.5.0 on our Production Oracle 10g R2 RAC (10.2.0.3.0) on HP-UX.

In patchset readme (8202632) in Sec 10 Postinstallation  Tasks, its mentioned about "Running changePerm.sh Script on an Oracle Database Server Home".

Its mentioned "Perform these optional steps only after considering all security ramifications and only if you need to share this installation."

Also mentioned "If you are applying patch to Oracle RAC home, then you must run this script on all the nodes."

Does the above mean that this steps is OPTIONAL but if we are running this script on RAC env then we should execute on BOTH nodes?

Howdy, Stranger!
