Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Hello all,

It would be interesting to hear about your RMAN backup validation practices (especially in the case with backups on tape):

Do you perform regular validation your database backups? When and how often?
Do you perform validations for database restore & recovery scenarios (point in time; and up-to-date)? Do you do that regularly?
Do you also validate your archived logs and incremental level 1 backups? How (restore validate doesn't handle that)?
How do you handle above scenarios when you can't afford enough disk space for a complete restore to a database copy?
