Product Configurator - Resource behaviour in Parent and Child products

Hello Experts,

One of my customer is having following requirement:

Scenario:-- Created a resource named as "No of users" in Product A and wrote provide and consume constraint with it. Now

on selection of Prod A resource value gets incremented by five ....and then whatever is the value of resource , same is the qty of PROD B which is child Product of A .

Problem :- This resource works fine in the Product where it is created but when used in the Parent product , this doesn't work.

Does he required to add any property or do some other work so that this resource is effective in Parent Product as well.
