CPUs capping for the Zones

edited Dec 21, 2010 9:01PM in Oracle Solaris System Administration (MOSC) 2 commentsAnswered
Hi,

We are running oracle Databases on Solaris 10 zones, recently we decided to go for CPU sharing(capping , dedicated CPUs ) for zones. We allocated no.of cpus to each zones and when we change the cpu count dynamically with "pooladm"  command, Database inside the zones crashed, do not  know exact reason to this.

How do you guys dedicate the cpus to the zones and any problems running Databases on zones? please share your thoughts/experiences.

Thanks,
Kishore
