Oracle 10g R2 RAC - Vote Disk and OCR backup.

Hi,

Before applying patchset 4 on our Prod Oracle 10g R2 RAC on HP-UX, I will be taking OCR and Vote Disk backup.

Please let me know if the following procedure is ok for Vote Disk and OCR backup.

1. Oracle Cluster will up and running while taking backup of Vote Disk and OCR.

2. Backup of the Vote Disk.

#dd if=/dev/rdsk/c4t0d2 of=/backup/voting.dmp

3. Backup of OCR

#ocrconfig –export /backup/ocr_export.dmp
