Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Manual Rebalance of ASM Diskgroup

Hi,

Our env is Oracle 10g R2 RAC on HP-UX and database is on ASM.

We added a Disk of different size to an existing ASM Diskgroup and we need to do a manual ASM rebalance.

Do we need to shutdown the Database or the Database can be up and running during manual rebalance?
