How do you extend the time out period on releasing a change?

 We randomly get situations where the user will be trying to move an ECO or MCO from one status to the next and the operation will time out after 10 minutes with the following error.

"Weblogic/transaction/TimedOutException"

Typically they are using the Java client and it is not predictable as to when it will happen or even if it is related to the size (Number of affected Items) of the Change.
