11.5.10.2 -> R12 Problems

We've been trying to upgrade a copy of our 11.5.10.2 instance to R12 for about 8 months now.   Our DBAs are frustrated and discouraged as they continually run into problems with the upgrade scripts.  One of the last was regarding assets in closed books.  Oracle's solution was to delete the assets.  All of the closed books had gone thru at least one prior upgrade.

 

Has anyone else had this kind of problem putting up an R12 instance from 11.5.10.2?

 

We're on HPUX 32bit, 11.23, DB 10.2.0.4.
