Should force direct I/O be used on filesystems (for Oracle datafiles, temp files, redo logs) on EMC

We have Oracle 10.2.0.4 on Oracle Solaries.  
Should  force direct I/O be used on filesystems (for Oracle datafiles, temp files, redo logs) on EMC storage ?

If anyone has the same issue can help with this,
