Use of "Blank" Primary Locations

 Hi All,

We are currently setting all our primary locations to "blank" and setting secondary locations to numbered locations were stock is held, in some cases we are carrying more than one secondary location (don't use lot numbers). We don't use backflushing. This was based on suggestions by the JDE response line and Consultants, however we find this becomes problematic for two reasons -

1. The location in the parts list is set to blank for any inventory item that is short when R31410.

2. The system hard commits inventory based on the location with the most available inventory. This is not always the location stock will be pulled from.
