Can FA locations be linked to HR loaction?

  We currently do not have the flexfields for FA Location segments linked to HR locations.

Is it possible still to switch - and if so what is the effect on existing asset loactions? do we have to mass move them to the new locations now linked to HR or is there another way? 

Any help sugggestion in this area is greatly appreciated.
