auditd daemon won't start.

Hi guys, one of our servers's auditd daemon in a maintenance mode.
i've ran the svcs -xv /system/auditd to try and get a bit of info regarding the state but nothing solid came out of it.

In an attempt to resolve it; i've tried the
  •   svcadm clear /system/auditd 
  • svcadm restart /system/auditd
"disabled and re-enabled it but no luck".

Please help.
