Does Solaris 10 non-global zone support Oracle 11g?
Hi everyone,
We have Solaris 10 installed on a SUN Blade T6320 server. We created an non-global zone with zfs and install Oracle 11g on it.
Our database consultant has some questions for this configuration and I have no experience on Oracle products. Hope you guys can help me to answer this questions.
1. Does/can Oracle Database 11g enterprise run on solaris 10g non-global zone, would I stil get support by doing this?
2. By doing this, can I said the Oracle Database is running under Virtualization Environment?
3. What is different between solaris zone and Oracle VM.
4. Our consultant noticed that starting up the database instances takes longer time compared with stand alone, is this normal?
