Database Upgrade to 8.1.1.4 - Supported Upgrade Path

 Siebel System Requirements and Supported Platforms for 8.1 Rev K page 107 has a note at the top of the page:
NOTE: For Siebel Enterprise Applications customers who are upgrading to the Siebel 8.1.1.3 Fix Pack, the upgrade path is as follows: Upgrade to Siebel version 8.1.1, Siebel 8.1.1.1, or Siebel 8.1.1.2, and then upgrade to Siebel 8.1.1.3. This applies to a Siebel database upgrade only.

With the release of patch 8.1.1.4, this note is now ambiguous. Does it apply to patch 8.1.1.4 or is it possible to do a successful database upgrade directly to 8.1.1.4?

I have submitted an SR to get an answer. In the meantime, does anybody know?
