reinitialization of cycle count items

Functionality - We can refresh the item list from the regenerated ABC group. This would require you to do a reinitialization of your cycle count items. 

Question is - "Once we make the cycle count designation at the beginning of the fiscal year and we do not want to make any changes during the remainder of the year.  If a part has an “A” designation on day one of the fiscal year, we don’t want to change that designation at a later date.  If we reinitialize the cycle count items at a later date, is there a possibility that an “A” part may change to a “B” part due to diminished on hand quantity?
