Use Configurator within Oracle Sales (Opportunity)

Hello Community

I understand that Oracle Configurator can only be started from within Oracle iStore, Quoting, OM or BOM (within the standard vanilla).

In our R12 environment we now have the requirement to use Configurator from within the Sales Opportunity as we are not (won't be) using Oracle Quoting.

I assume there's a way of integrating Oracle Configurator with Oracle Sales, without having to use Quoting.

Any ideas, advice, suggestions, comments, experiences? I am looking forward to your replies.
