F4211 and Amount - Extended Cost (SDECST)

 Based on the documentation, Amount - Extented Cost is the unit cost times the number of units. But I can see the data where Amount - Extented Cost is zero but Unit Cost and Qty Ordered are populated. Why?

If I want to know the Cost Amount, is Amount - Extented Cost not a reliable field or do I have to do Units-Ordered(SDUORG) * Amount - Unit Cost(SDUNCS)
