What are the major roadblocks and issues with JDE E1 License Plating

 We recently upgraded from 8.9 to 9.0.  Because we had a very short implementation window we were not able to install the new license plating feature in our warehouse environment.  We are currently using a custom license plating functionality.  I am looking for assistance in understanding the benefits and drawbacks to the license plating functionality and examples of others experiences in implementing.
