Descriptive Flexfields under account segment

In R12 there are new DFFs:   FND_TX_CLASSES and  FND_TX_GROUPS.

The description 'Ebiz Taxonomy Classes' and 'Ebiz Taxonomy Groups (Structures)' respectively.  I cannot find anything in Metalink that explain what are these for.

Does anybody have any idea about these DFFs?    If so, can they be disabled?
