shared memory settings in Solaris 10

We are using Data bases running on " Solaris 10 10/08 s10s_u6wos_07b SPARC ". We have configured shared memory settings in /etc/systems and using below mention parameter.

set semsys:seminfo_semmap=64
set semsys:seminfo_semmni = 4096
set semsys:seminfo_semmns = 4096
set semsys:seminfo_semmnu = 4096
set semsys:seminfo_semume = 64
set semsys:seminfo_semmsl = 500
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmax = 4294967296
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmin = 100
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmni = 4096
set shmsys:shminfo_shmseg = 100
####################################################
How can we make sure that these settings are applied to system wide.To validate these setting i have used "sysdef | grep -i shmmax" but it is not showing any output.Does it means these setting are not applicable? Do you suggest any other best practice to manage this.
