How would we track a Project number accross , Procurement, Sales , Inventory, ETO

The business tracks a common Project Number for each Order it receives accross departments,

They Purchase as required for this project 'A'

they recieve for this Project 'A' , Manufacture using ETO for this Project , and finally Sell to this Project

What would be the recommended way to track it so as to be available for reporting across the Modules?
