Set datafile offline and delete it?

 Hai, i made a mistake while i created a new datafile for a tablespace.
Now i want to delete this file. Is this possible?
I think it is possible to set the datafile offline and then delete it.
Is this possible, without losing any data?
Or is there just another way? (except, export/import data using dump/datapump)
