PAY: Alert! Element Frequency Rules had Configuration and Functionality Change in Last HRMS Family P
Customers are experiencing issues with existing elements that have Frequency Rules since applying the last HRMS Family Pack RUP (RUP5 for 11i, RUP8 for R12.0 and RUP3 for R12.1). These issues are not immediately apparent and can sometimes go months before it becomes evident.
Symptoms can include:
- Deductions are not taken during a pay period when they should be
- Deductions are taken during a pay period when they should not be
- The Retropay process creates element entries for elements that have had no changes, or have been previously processed in another period
This most often affects elements that have "Effective Date" frequency rules, but can also occur for those with "Earned Date" rules.
