How do you find the definition of a report column?

Take for instance "Average Sales Cycle". Where do I find exactly how that field is defined? I can see in the definition in Answers, that: "Revenue Metrics"."Average Sales Cycle". But that doesn't tell me how it calculates Average Sales Cycle.
