HCM not running JDE payroll help...

We are looking for any JDE users who are using JDE HCM but are note running JDE payroll.  We would love to see how other companies are surviving and using the system (mainly benefits) without having JDE payroll running. We are running into many functions that would work if we had payroll and have not found Oracle support to be useful in solving some of our issues since we dont run payroll.
