Upgrading Tools Release to 8.98.4.x on Websphere ND 6.1 Vertical Cluster

All,

We are planning upgrading our Foundation code / Tools release throughout our 9.0 E1 landscape. Currently, we are running on 9.0 / 8.98.1.4.1 and want to migrate to FC 8.98.4.X. The problem I am facing is the upgrade of my "vertical cluster" of WAS 6.1 ND and ensuring that Server Manager can see all of the clustered JVM's with each respective WAS install.

Could someone confirm whether or not I simply need to upgrade my "Server Manager" FC to 8.98.4.X and will thus be able to use Server Manager to upgrade each clustered JVM in WAS via the SM console? My concern is that I may need to start from scratch and rebuild the Websphere environment completely and I would really like to avoid this.
