Request Sets for Depreciation Runs with Multiple Asset Books

Is there any functionality available in R12 to minimize the time/effort required to run depreciation on multiple books (in some cases 30+ books, all managed centrally)? I have tried creating a request set to kick off depreciation runs with multiple books to no avail. They would like to run depreciation for all of their corporate books at one time at month end close in such a way that is efficient and predefined so as to ensure that they have indeed closed all corporate book periods (and not skipped a few, an issue they've experienced in the past).  
Any suggestions of available functionality or reasoning to relay to the client would be much appreciated!
