 Hi all:

I hate flying blind and sometimes after reading the oracle documentation I am more confused then when I started. So hopefully one of you good gentlemen or ladies can help me out. My question is this:

I am installing Oracle RAC on Windows 2008 Server R2 with SAN storage. Oracle will be 11g R2 (11.2.0.2) and I have never installed a RAC before but have managed them for a while. My question concerns the placement of the voting disks and OCR files. According to what I have read, starting with 11.2 it is possible to place the voting disks and OCR files within ASM itself. Is this right? And how should they be placed in ASM? Is there any documented examples that anyone can point me to on how this is done? I am familiar with
