Does anyone use the organizational chart in E1 v 9.0?

 I am researching how to use the organizational chart functionality in E1 and having difficulty connecting the dots to make it all work.  

P08713W is based on the F05840 (EE/supv relationship table) and this table is gets built by running R05846.  I run this report and briefly see records in the table, but then they disappear and the table remains empty. The report pdf has errors for most employees saying "Invalid Employee/Supervisor Relationship: Recursive loop with Supervisor. 

I set up an employee/supervisor code in the udc 01/TS (as well as in 00/TS because I see conflicting information for these two tables and I am not certain which is the correct udc table for this process).
