Credit Card authorization holds being released when they shouldn't be.

 Orders go on hold due to credit card authorization or credit checking.These holds are getting released (looks like during pickrelease but cannot be sure its happening only at that time),even though there is still no credit card info on the order.

These orders then go on hold again(mysteriously,we do not know what causes this).

When the orders go on hold the second time,if the delivery ids are wiped out and this doesnot allow auto ship confirmation.

Does anybody have any idea on how to trouble shoot this?
