After 12.1 upgrade, remove 11i apps stack?

 After the Release 12.1 upgrade is complete and I am sure I don't need any customizations there anymore I want to remove the 11i apps stack.  Should I manually remove the directories or is there an oui.  I seem to remember using the red CD with rapidwiz to install back in the day.  But not sure the preferred method of removing the old apps stack.
