Customization of Business Service "VORD Projected Asset Cache"

One of the customers wants to customize the Business Service "VORD Projected Asset Cache"

Based on the OOTB description, as mentioned in the Bookshelf, Business Service "VORD Projected Asset Cache" uses "Order Entry - Line Items" BC to query order line items to build projected asset cache. However, as the level of customization increases on BC "Order Entry - Line Items", the performance of initializing PAC deteriorates. 

Can the BC "Order Entry - Line Items" be changed to a light weight BC(MACD Order Entry - Line Items) for the consumption of Business Service "VORD Projected Asset Cache".?
