How can I reopen GL period with Permanently closed status?

Hello,

I am writing with a following problem that our customer had at the moment.

They mistakenly closed the Accounting period ‘02-2011’ in GL responsibility and now the period status stays as ‘Permanently Closed’. They need to reopen this period, but cannot. I have made research and according to Oracle documentation, there is no possibility to reopen Permanently Closed period.

Can anybody help us with information if there is any chance that we can reopen period with permanently closed status on GL level?
