Suspense Account

 hi Experts,

Wanted to know what type of account is a Suspense Accoount? I realize when you do account setup for a set of books or a Ledger Suspense Account should be set when you enter values to the account segment of your chart of accounts. I have seen it being set as a liability but am not sure what is the reasoning behind this selection instead of expense; I believe suspense could be on both sides of accounting Dr/Cr.
