When we do relink operation?

Hi All,

We are running our applications with Oracle 10g R2. Our Database servers are unix/linux servers. Now we want to copy oracle binaries and database from one linux server to another linux server and make use the database on the new server as well.

Now, do we need to relink the binaries?

And.. In which situations we actually do this relink process?

Can this relink be available with windows platform as well?
