RMAN - Tape backup showing as expired even though it is available on tape
Hi,
I have backed up my database to tape through DB Control using Symantec Backup Exec, after running a ' CROSSCHECK ' the status in RMAN changed from ' AVAILABLE ' to ' EXPIRED' (guessing this is because the correct tape wasn't in the drive when the crosscheck was ran). After putting the correct tape in the drive, running an inventory and cataloguing it I was expecting its status to return to ' AVAILABLE' after re-running ' CROSSCHECK ', but for some reason the status stays as ' EXPIRED '.
Does anybody have any ideas as to why it stays as expired, and how I make that backup available again in RMAN?
