11gR2 raw devices not supported / Multiple ASM instances

 Hi
We are about to install 11gR2 RAC in AIX and according to Grid Infrastructure install. guide raw devices is no longer supported.

Can anyone confirm this?

We are going to have two instances on each cluster node.

Can we create multiple ASM instances on each cluster node?
