segment size and read ahead option in staorage configuration.

hi

We are installing new sun 2530 array attached with sun sparc T5440 server . Our requirement is to keep /opt in storage. we are creating RAID 1+0 while creating profiles and pools in storage ther is option  Segment size  having  64 KB , 128 KB , 512 KB etc . pls let us know what we should select in  segment size ? Also ther is Read-ahead option should we enable this ? And what these option means.
