Workflows - Opportunities - When new record is saved

 I'm trying to create a workflow that will trigger when a new opportunity is created. The issue I'm having is that the workflow doesn't kick off when the opportunity is created thru a lead conversion. The users convert a lead and they choose the "Auto-Create New Opportunity" option.... and that's how they create a new opportunity....

When I create a new opportunity using the regular "New" button and filling out the fields myself then it works...

My workflow is supposed to:

- Send an email to X when a new opportunity is created

- Wait for 3 days

- If Opportunity status = 'xxx' then send a reminder to X
