Is it required to fully configure Receivables if we implement Order Management?

Hi,

Does anyone know if we need to fully configure Oracle Receivables if we are implementing Order Management?

I realise that there are some mandatory setups in Receivables such as setting up customers but these screens are also accessible from order management. We would prefer not to implement receivables as the receivables function will be done in an external system. Is this possible? Or is it required to fully implement Receivables when you are implementing order management?
