EXP-00002 with exp

Hi All,
Database version : 10.2.0.2
Platform: AIX 5.3

We are using exp utility to take the export backup of the database & the export always fails with following errors

EXP-00002: error in writing to export file
EXP-00002: error in writing to export fileerror closing export file export_pipe
EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully
Export FAILED

There are no other associated disk errors along with these errors. We don't to use expdp and we want to use exp only.

Any suggestions on this error?
