Linux Bootable DVD / CDs

I'm trying to create bootable Linux DVD / CD ( Enterprise Linux Release 5 Update 5 )  but I'm failing consistently. I've tried to make that CD /DVD on 3 different machines. On one machine I get "Missing operating system" error. From 2nd machine the machine just hangs, from third one it give some other error which I don't remember. I had created bootable CD 3-4 years years ago with this version ( Enterprise 2.6.9-42.0.0.0.1.EL ). This time it is not working. What could be the possible reason ? Where I'm wrong ?
