New items to cycle count

Hi,

During the year if new item is added and if we want to include the same in cycle count one way is to manually add the item to cycle count. My question is whether cycle count request will pick that item in the cycle count listing for performing cycle count or I need to run reinitialize to include that item. reinitialize or update is not suggested as it will rewrite all item information. Update also runs reinitialize program
