 Hello collegues,
While working on perfomarce we noticed in the database statspack data that parameter cache buffer chains is increasing significantly.
Below this parameter is the notice that latch activity is raised.

Can anybody help me what would that indicate?

The context of the problem as sensed in this moment:

We have enough shared memory, buffer chache.

But on the other way we sense problems with sessions ( we have shared dispatcher architecture ...maybe after upgrade going to switch to dedicated but at the moment ).

And we're in the process of changing some storage parameters on some tables that are noumerous in columns and rows.

Howdy, Stranger!
