PAY: Checkwriter XML
First off, let me say that I am a functional user, not technical, so I will explain to the best of my ability.
We are trying to move from Live Checkwriter to Checkwriter XML.
We are on 11.5.10.2, HP-UNIX platform. As such, we do not have any drivers that can send the Checkwriter XML directly to the check printer. The IS team has even tried using Ghost Script without any luck.
Instead, a user has to open the Checkwriter XML output file on their PC then send the output file to the printer. However, they could also attach this output file to an email, save the file to a CD, etc. Since the Checkwriter XML output is the entire check (including the signature & micr coding) this is not secure.
