Anti-virus for Exadata server

Our Linux admins are insisting on installing anti-virus program on Exadata server. Oracle does not have any objection to doing so. I have read lot about Linux not requiring any anti-virus but there are some posts emphasizing the need for anti-virus software on Linux. Please share your thoughts about anti-virus on Exadata servers.
