Moving data without upgrading

 I'm looking for a little help: I have a 9.2.0.7 instance with about 2.3TB of storage. I am creating a 11gR2 instance and need to move the 2.3TB of storage to it.  I cannot upgrade the current 9.2.0.7 (management direction). Other than exporting and importing the data is there another way to make this happen? I'm am going from UNIX to LINUX. I am concerned that the exp/imp will take too long.
